Swimming:

Our swimming pool, measuring 25′ wide, 50′ long and 14′ deep, holds 110,000 gallons of water. Swimming provides the opportunity to be exercised without concussion on the limbs. Swimming provides several benefits for purposes of conditioning including: improvement or maintenance of muscle tone and cardiopulmonary capacity, and cross-training for track conditioning. Swimming may also be used for strengthening, and post-operative rehabilitation.

Underwater Treadmill:

The underwater treadmill provides horses with buoyancy during exercise to minimize concussive forces while encouraging full joint range of motion. The underwater treadmill permits controlled movement and minimizes concussion on bones and joints to reduce the risk of recurring injury and improve and accelerate healing.

Farriering Workshop:

A few students visiting from University of Vermont got a chance to try out farriering.
